Ö1 Jazz Scholarship 2026: Win a Full Scholarship at JAM MUSIC LAB Private University and an Album Production!
Since 2018, the Ö1 jazz scholarship has been awarded as part of the Ö1 Talent Exchange and offers a two-year study program (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) at Jam Music Lab Private University in Vienna plus an album production with quinton records.
Musical talents of all educational levels up to the age of 28 (age at application) are invited to apply, provided they either hold Austrian citizenship or have their primary residence in Austria — including students currently enrolled at the Friedrich Gulda School of Music. The jury particularly values originality and a distinctive artistic voice.
Application Process & Audition
Applications can be submitted from December 1, 2025, to March 25, 2026 via email to:

Required documents:
- Description or documentation of previous musical education, experience, and projects
- CV / résumé
- Photo of the musician (minimum 300 dpi)
- One unedited video featuring 2–3 representative musical performances
(preferably a live performance; professional video quality is not required — a smartphone recording is sufficient)
Final Round
Selected applicants will be invited to perform live.

Award Ceremony
The scholarship certificate will be presented to the winner on Ö1 Jazz Day, April 30, 2026, during the evening Ö1 concert, broadcast live on the radio.
Selection Criteria
- Instrumentalists and vocalists up to the age of 28 (at the time of application) who meet the formal requirements for university studies are eligible.
- The scholarship is open to Austrian citizens as well as non-Austrians residing in Austria.
