Violinist Daniel Auner joins the AMP Vienna!
Daniel Auner will teach violin and viola at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts Vienna
Born in Vienna in 1987, the violinist has been performing on stages all over the world for many years and today is one of the most internationally sought-after Viennese violinists of his generation. He began violin lessons at the age of six and achieved early success at youth competitions. He studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and later moved on to Igor Ozim at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
Daniel Auner has been part of the Vienna Mozart Trio since 2008, founded the Auner Quartet in 2013 together with Barbara de Menezes Galante, Konstantin Zelenin and Natalia Binkowska and has already published 12 CDs. His debut CD "Caprice Viennois" was released in December 2010 and was praised by the press with the words "A young violinist could not present himself better". He has won several prizes, including first prize in the Eugène Ysaye Violin Competition, Liège (2018).
Since 2012 Daniel Auner has been supported by the Austrian Foreign Ministry within the framework of the cultural promotion programme "New Austrian Sound of Music" and is a cultural ambassador worldwide.
