  • 1994-2000 Studies Music Education piano with Kenji Kato and Theodora Lungu, as well as composition with Claus Kühnl and Gerhard Schedl at Dr.Hoch's Conservatory in Frankfurt am Main, State Examination for Music Education
  • 2001-2008 composition studies first with Iván Eröd, then with Erich Urbanner and Chaya Czernowin as well as electroacoustic composition with Bruno Liberda at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, graduation with distinction
  • 2021 Training as a child and youth coach for brain-friendly teaching and learning according to Vera F. Birkenbihl
  • 2016-19 Masterpiece Life University with Christian Bischoff
  • 1998-99 Choirmaster course of the Hessian Singers' Association in Frankfurt am Main

Teaching Experience

  • Since 1993 teacher for piano, keyboard and accordion, improvisation, composition
  • 1995-2001 at the music schools in Wehrheim and Dietzenbach (Germany)
  • Since 2002 teaching piano, improvisation, accordion and composition at the Theresian Academy Vienna
  • 2004-2006 Lecturer for jazz piano, improvisation, general music theory, jazz harmony and ear training at the Jazz-Folk-Klezmer Seminar in Edlitz/Lower Austria
  • Since 2011 various improvisation workshops and master classes, among others at Youth Music Tour in Vienna, Art and Culture Center in Zhonshan, China
  • Since 2015 owner and teaching at the Music School Fröhlich Vienna 20
  • Since fall term 2021 at the Friedrich Gulda School of Music 

Concerts & Performances 

  • Since 1993 concert activity as a pianist and keyboard player in various ensembles, including new music, experimental improvisation, jazz and popular ensembles, studio recordings, accompaniment for singers and choir, organ service
  • Performances in Austria, Germany, Poland, Italy, Switzerland and China, among others at Wien Modern, Wiener Festwochen, ORF Sendesaal, Wiener Konzerthaus, Musikverein Wien
  • Experimental film music for art films as well as sound installations for art exhibitions by Eliane Huber-Irikawa (Switzerland) and Lars Koepsel (Germany)

  • Richard Wagner Scholarship in Bayreuth (Germany)
  • Composition Prize at the 3rd International Joseph Haydn Chamber Music Competition
  • State Scholarship of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture for Composition
