Language Requirements
Language Competence as a Career Opportunity
Learning a language is not only relevant for your academic success, but also a matter of globalization and the related possibility of communication between people of different cultures, backgrounds and interests. It is an important aspect for professional and artistic development. For this, the studies at the Gulda School of Music (formerly International Academy for Music and Performing Arts Vienna - AMP) should prepare and support you in the best possible way.
In order to be able to take up and successfully follow the studies, there are language requirements for the study program at our conservatory, level B1 is required for all courses of study at the time of admission examination, but at the latest at the end of the 2nd semester, if knowledge of the German language was not deemed sufficient in the admission examination.
The levels refer to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Find out more at https://www.coe.int/en/web/common-european-framework-reference-languages
