Workshop with 40th Army Band of the Vermont National Guard

U.S. Embassy Vienna invites you to join a workshop and Q&A with a U.S. Military Band. You’ll have the opportunity to jam with jazz members of the 40th Army Band of the Vermont National Guard, ask them about their career paths as jazz musicians in the U.S., and network with them in an informal setting.

The 40th Army Band of the Vermont National Guard has maintained a tradition of musical excellence since 1907.  As part time civilian Soldiers our members dedicate time and talent to meet the musical missions, both military and civilian, of the State.  In addition to their musical missions the 40th Army Band is routinely called upon first to aid in natural disaster relief throughout the great State of Vermont. Depending on event we perform all together as a concert band, marching or split into different musical teams. We have a rock band, brass quintet, stage band, woodwind and jazz group.
