  • 2005 - 2006: Studied composition at the Taipei University of Arts with Prof. Hwang Long Pang 
  • 2006 - 2009: Studied composition with Prof. Axel Seidelmann at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna 
  • 2009 - 2013: Double degree in composition and media composition with Prof. Reinhard Karger at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (awarded two diploma degrees, Media Composition passed with distinction)
  • 2011 - 2014: Non-degree studies of jazz piano with Paul Urbanek at the JAM MUSIC LAB Conservatory for Jazz and Popular Music Vienna
  • 2014 - 2015: Post-graduate studies in composition with Prof. Reinhard Karger at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna 

Work Experience

  • 2012: vergessen/vergeben for piano and cello, music and sound design for the short movie Deuce, The Grey for the orchestra and Re-Life for the violin, percussion and piano (both originally performed at the Atlantic Music Festival in Maine, USA)
  • 2013: Composition of the music for the audio drama Günter Eich - Träume, directed by Götz Fritsch (ORF) with students from the  Max-Reinhard-Seminar (Emission in November 2013 on the radio Ö1), Sieben Jahre in meiner Wohnung for Big Band (Originally performed at Porgy and Bess in Vienna with the Big Band Nouvelle Cuisine)
  • 2014: Music for the audio drama Der Himmel ist blau, die Erde ist Weiss by Hiromi Kawakami under the editing and direction of Heike Tauch (First broadcast in 2014 on the German station, Deutschlandradio Kultur)
  • 2015: Music for the theatre work Der Volkshai by Nolte Decar, directed by Matthias Rippert (originally performed at the Theater Bonn), Dezett No. 1 for large ensemble (first performed at the Radiokulturhaus in Vienna, lead by Jean-Bernhard Matter with the Webern Ensemble), Musical theatre work for youths Polli und Gallina, Libretto and direction by Matthias Suske (first performed in April 2016, Burg Perchtoldsdorf, Lower Austria), Theodor Körner Award for Composition "Rest in Peace"

Teaching & Research

  • Since 2015: JAM MUSIC LAB since 2015
  • Since 2012: Teaching piano at Gymnasium Schulschiff GRG 21, Vienna
  • Since 2013: Piano Lessons at the Gymnasium in the Theodor-Kramer-Straße GRG 22, Vienna
  • 2013: Musicological master’s thesis about film music, with a focus on animation. Title of the thesis: Research of Michael Biacchino’s Music for the Movie “UP” 
  • Since 2015: Teacher for aural training at the Performing Arts Center Vienna
  • 2015: Research project focusing on "The Cultural Transfer of Central European Music Theory to China" and "Concepts of Teaching Composition" at the Conservatory Shanghai and at the Chinese University of Hong Kong with Prof. Gesine Schröder
